Community
Otter Creek Child Center is staffed by an Executive Director, an Assistant Director, and teachers supported by work study students, and part time substitute staff. All of our full time teaching staff members are CPR and First Aid certified, and participate in professional development opportunities on a regular basis.
The Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership to the Otter Creek community to ensure the mission and policies are understood, and to facilitate the implementation of the vision, curriculum and programmatic support of our center. She is also responsible for the financial and business aspects of our center.
The Assistant Director works as a curriculum coordinator, providing leadership to the faculty as they reflect on, design, and implement curriculum. She works to ensure a strong community by developing and maintaining relationship with children, families, and our larger community, coordinating special events and parent engagement.
Otter Creek Child Center is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors, which is comprised of Otter Creek parents and community members. The board is responsible for the center’s financial stability and overall long-term viability. Board members are elected annually, and attend monthly board and committee meetings.
